The new rationales of 12-year Basic Education in Taiwan were implemented via “Key Competence”. Therefore, this project will investigate “Competence of the Area of Integrative Activities” in curriculum development and supportive resources. This project will examine the existing problems of Integrative Activities and look for the possible solutions. This project will investigate a competence-oriented mode of teaching materials and methods in the Area of Integrative Activities through collaboration of university professors, teachers and school resources. The research results will be used as a reference for textbooks written, teacher education, teachers' professional development, as well as for the promotion of teaching strategies.
