Learning Chinese is a global trend on the ascent, a proper Chinese learner’s dictionary is urgently needed. By studying computational linguistics, corpus-based lexicography, the diversity between English learner’s dictionary and Chinese learner’s dictionary, and the relevant papers published in the last three decades, we plan to propose a prototype of Chinese learner’s dictionary and actually compile 200 lemmas which responses to the real language context and meet the demands of L2 learners and their teachers.
