The main purposes of this study are: 1. to understand the problems of learning key points/learning stages, learning reas/subjects/categories/new themes, and learning periods/units within the elementary to high school's curriculum guidelines. 2. to develop the principles after proposing the suggestions of learning key points/learning stages, learning areas/subjects/categories/new themes, and learning periods/units for 1-12 year National Curriculum Guidelines. Data collection methods included literature and document analysis, focus group discussions and questionnaires. The manuscript was drawn up for public hearings, the council for 1-12 year curriculum development and the consulting committee of curriculum of Minisry of Education for widely discussion. After several revisions, the completed research report becomes the essential reference for 1-12 year curriculum guideline.
