In the tide of social democracy development, curriculum revolution emphasizes flexibility, variety, and devolution to schools. However, giving them the authority is not merely a policy, not just a slogan as well. What should we prepare, for the curriculum operation in schools, and the professional disposition and capacity of teachers, in the process of devolution? Professional scholar communities, the necessary assistance and backup of central government, and the operation and cooperation between every level, relate to the efficacy of the curriculum revolution as a whole, which is directly relate to the quality of teaching for students. How to control and appraise them is the crux of the success of curriculum revolution. The curriculum outline “implementation and supplement” is to make the execution of curriculum revolution more fluent, more effective. Leading teachers’ direction of teaching and self-achievement is one of the important content in the supplement of outline. This project takes “ outdoor education” as examples, inquires “high quality orientation” teaching evaluation norm, and provides teachers the reference of doing outdoor education, and the tool of self-evaluation and consideration of teaching. Considering the exactitude and the feasibility, this research makes analysis the references from abroad and in our country, and to carefully make the model of the high-quality oriented norm, inviting scholars and senior teachers to analyze our teachers’ outdoor education projects by this model as an analysis framework, and through this to revise the content of the norm.
This project provides two achievements (resources) as references for schools and teachers when planning and implementing outdoor education.
A. Planning points and the check-list of outdoor education curriculum
a. Before activities: pre-image and construction
b. Among activities: verification and inquiry
c. After activities: conclusion, integration, reflection and thinking, and discussion.
B. The index of implementation appraisal in outdoor education curriculum
This research provides “ the model of the high quality norm in outdoor education”. It is divided to five aspects, which are “Interaction”, “Multiple-”, “Autonomy”, “Management”, and “Safety”.
