為研訂下一階段之中小學課程綱要，教育主管機關已於2008年6月著手規畫「中小學課程發展之相關基礎性研究」。本「中小學課程發展機制與核心架構的擬定研究」，結合四項子研究計畫進行為期一年的整合型研究，旨在擬定我國中小學課程發展機制與核心架構。本研究從台灣情境脈絡出發，透過國內外相關學理與案例的探析，以及訪談、諮議研討等途徑，希冀建構適切的課程發展歷程、擬定課程綱要核心架構與要素、落實課程綱要轉化為教科用書的環節，並提出課程推展體系的可能圖像與策略，以精進台灣中小學課程的發展、擬定、轉化與推展之品質。

In June 2008, the Ministry of Education launched the Foundational researches for 1-9th grade curriculum development, so to map out the coming curriculum guideline revisions. This integrated research, for 1-9th grade curriculum development mechanism and key framework, consists of four projects. These projects draw on Taiwan context, via theoretical and practical analysis, focus on the adequate curriculum development process, key elements for curriculum guidelines, connections between curriculum guidelines and textbooks, and the systematic curriculum promotion strategies individually. By ways of interview, literature review and Delphi technique, this research intends to improve the qualities of 1-9th curriculum development, planning, transformation and promotion.
