In June 2008, the Ministry of Education launched the Foundational researches for 1-9th grade curriculum development, so to map out the coming curriculum guideline revisions. This integrated research, for 1-9th grade curriculum development mechanism and key framework, consists of four projects. These projects draw on Taiwan context, via theoretical and practical analysis, focus on the adequate curriculum development process, key elements for curriculum guidelines, connections between curriculum guidelines and textbooks, and the systematic curriculum promotion strategies individually. By ways of interview, literature review and Delphi technique, this research intends to improve the qualities of 1-9th curriculum development, planning, transformation and promotion.
