Facing an era of the digital world, where the technology revolution is shaking the basis of the educational system and become a natural learning space for the digital natives, we realize that using electronic learning resources to enhance interactive and individually-paced learning has become a global trend. Therefore, it is urgent that Taiwan government and education system to develop e-textbooks which meet students’ needs, and to ensure the correct content and good quality.?
Continuing with the research program last years, the aim of this research is to address development and evaluation for digital textbooks, and produce the digital textbooks’ topical unit of natural science and math through an extensive discussion. Much emphasis is on challenges associated with digital textbooks in the pursuit of replacing traditional textbooks with digital textbooks. This research has contributed to pioneering work in the field of digital textbook policy in Taiwan’s education.
