The aim of this research is to develop the learning support system for students of 12-year national basic education. In order to provide suggestions to the curriculum development proposals, the research adopted literature review, document analysis, and focus group interview to examine the current implementing situations in learning support, remedial instruction, and learning support for special needs students. The suggestions include the improvement of curriculum and instruction, the enforcement of learning strategies, the encouragement of cooperation between schools, parents, and communities, the development of remedial instruction programs, and the promotion of teacher collaboration. The results of this research contributed to the issue with the learning support system for students and served as reference for educational authorities in making related policies, helping to improve the academic achievement of students.
