There are four purposes for this study, which are: 1). defining and exploring the conception for key competence. 2). analyzing the reason of key competence which is used to become the main principle of curriculum organization for the twelve-year basic education program. 3). exploring the meanings, ideals and practices of curriculum integration and curriculum coherence. 4). exploring the principles and examples of curriculum integration and curriculum coherence for the twelve-year basic education program .The methods of literature review, interview and holding focus group, consultation meeting, symposium were be used for the data collection and analysis in this study.
