In order to achieve the goal of the Education Act for Indigenous Peoples in which to promote the understanding and respect between various cultural groups, this study is to systematically investigate the content of indigenous knowledge. It also seeks to transform indigenous knowledge into school curriculum and learning materials. The purpose of this study is to, based on Paiwan cultural knowledge, develop a culturally responsive curriculum and instruction, and enhance students’ understanding and appreciation of indigenous culture. In the first and second year, we seek to develop a theoretical framework of Paiwan cultural knowledge. In the third year, the systematic knowledge will be developed. The curriculum and instruction will be appropriately transformed to develop culturally responsive curriculum, and to implement in the indigenous high school.?
