The new rationales of 12-year Basic Education in Taiwan were implemented via “Key Competence”. Therefore, this project will investigate the design and implementation the subject of technology curriculum based on the understanding of Key Competence. First, this project will examine the existing problems of technology curriculum and look for the possible solutions. Then, the project will investigate a competence-oriented mode of teaching materials and methods in the technology curriculum through collaboration of university professors, teachers and school resources. Finally, the research results will be used as a reference for textbooks written, teacher education, teachers' professional development, as well as for the promotion of teaching strategies.
