E-readers, which are becoming an integral tool for our day-to-day lives, particularly have an enormous potential to support teaching and learning. However, recent evidence suggests that an E-reader is not more effective than conventional books. This is may be due to the fact that existing E-readers still need to be improved. One of the approaches is to incorporate the annotations into the E-reader. To addresses these issues, the purpose of this study is to develop an Annotatable Multimedia SRL E-reader (AMSE) where various annotation and classroom management tools are provided to help students to learn in class.
