The objective of this research aims at understanding the current indigenous language learning situation of urban junior high school aboriginal students and its correlations. This study uses focus groups, participant observation and interviews to analyze six indigenous language classes of urban junior high schools. Besides, it also intends to understand the current status of the aboriginal language learning by interviewing indigenous educational experts, indigenous students and aboriginal language teachers.
