Next wave of national curriculum innovation plans to begin in 2018 in Taiwan, and its core vision emphasize on three aspects, that are respectively taking the initiative, engaging the public, and seeking the common good. Although several supplementary and support packages are initiated with the coming national curriculum, several issues accompanying by the change of national curriculum still draw profound attention and await proper exploration.
This project is a precedent study of assessing the impact of change of national curriculum in 2018, and thus the mission is to focus on developing Chinese core competence assessment tools and setting appropriate achievement levels of 7th grade student. After building up blue print of Chinese core competence grounded in 2018 curriculum, relevant assessment tools are expected to develop through standard procedure. Finally, the results and suggestion from this project will be proposed for future usage.
