A longitudinal study including surveys of four panels will be conducted by National Academy for Educational Research to evaluate the effectiveness of the new curriculum named “12-year Basic Education Program” implemented since 2019. This project, refers to the fifth phase of the longitudinal study from grade 10 to grade 12. The subjects who are the first batch of students taught according to the new curriculum will be surveyed. The main dependent variables in this integrated project include students’ literacies in the subject area of science. The purpose of our project is develop the tasks which coordinate the new curriculum to estimate the scientific literacies of high school students. After the pilot study, moreover, the reliability and validity of our assessment would be constructed. The results of this project are expected to provide feedbacks to the teaching practices and the national curriculum for senior high school education.
