This project is one of the sub-projects under the integrated project “Standards for Words and Sentence Patterns used in Chinese Language for Primary and Secondary Schools”. The basic goal of this project, therefore, aims to sort out the Chinese characters, words, and sentences in such a way that the final results would help build up some principles for the level of learning in difficulty.?
This study adopts methods such as expert consultation, statistical and comparative analysis to explore commonly used words and sentence patterns in the social science textbooks at all learning stages of primary and secondary schools, and to analyze the differences between them in the relative learning stages of Chinese language, thus providing the applications for curriculum teaching, textbook editing, self-directed learning resources development, and research/formulating for future curriculum guideline.
