The Curriculum Guidelines of 12-year Basic Education has been implemented progressively in each educational stage since 2019 academic year. Competency-driven instruction is one of the key point of this guidelines and the implementation is what teachers are anxious to know. Art education can cultivate students' perception and mind, stimulate students' imagination, which is the driving force for improving the aesthetic competitiveness and creativity, while health and physical education can cultivate students’ mind and body. This study focuses on the implementation of competency-driven instruction in Arts, Health and Physical Classes in junior high school, and aim to construct appropriate indicators for competency-driven instruction and propose strategies for improvement. This study collects data methods through document analysis, interviews, focus discussions, classroom observations, and questionnaires. The results can be references for the development for further curriculum guidelines.
