The purposes of this study are as followed: 1. To analyze the overlapping contents, connecting problems of Integrative Activities domainat elementary, junior high and senior high school stage, as well as to blend the relevant issues into this domain. 2. To examine the goals and curriculum structure of Integrative Activities in twelve-year basic education. 3. To propose the principles of framework and elements for Integrative Activities. The data are collected and analyzed through literature review, document and text analysis, and focus group discussions. The major results are to depict the conceptual picture of Integrated Activities Area curriculum guideline for 12-year basic education, and to clarify its basic ideas, curriculum goals and the framework of 12 key competencies. The research team of this project expects to develop a new curriculum guideline of IntegratedActivities area for 12-year basic education.
